New Camera Strap for my DSLR

This is the pattern of the fabric on my new camera strap for my DSLR.  Shown here is a little wrist strap but I got the full neck strap with minky material on the inside so that the comfy black minky fabric is against my neck and the groovy pattern fabric is showing on the outside.  Oohhh La La.  I love it. 

Must Paint Everything

I picked up another shelf at a thrift store.  This one was only $2.50 and I promise it will look so cute in my craft area once it's painted.  Hmmmm maybe a project for this weekend.  We are expecting a blizzard and all.

 

 

Something I've Learned About Myself

I recently realized I spend a lot of time searching, researching and looking at other peoples projects to get ideas for what I want to do.  I have a folder saved in my computer for project ideas that I plan on doing at some point.  But, I spend much less time actually doing the projects.  I know it's winter but I have time to sand at least.  I should be "prepping" all the items I have accumulated for when Spring & Summer finally hit.  I feel such a great amount of accomplishment for the projects I have finished you'd think that would motivate me to get more done.   It's kind of my unspoken resolution to spend more time getting the projects done.  Not for anyone else but for myself.  So, just now at 9:45pm I spent some time spray painting a mirror frame my mother in law had given me in late August or early September.  It soooo should have been done by now but I couldn't decide what color to paint it.  I decided on oil rubbed bronze.  It's almost black, with a sheen.  Perfect to go with any décor I decide to actually choose for the bathroom.

Almost Finished

This is the chandelier I got for $5 at the auction.  As far as I know it' doesn't work.  I had originally asked my husband to redo the electrical in it for us but if I wait on him I'll be dead before that happens.   So, my daughter and I decided to get it all finished up and hang it just for looks.  I have to go find bulbs for it, I want the kind dipped in silicone.  There are sleeves that go over where the bulbs screw in.  Debating leaving them heirloom white or possibly painting them turquoise to match the rest of her room done in lime green and turquoise.  We'll have to see how it all pans out.

Fizzled Plans

I took today off from work with big plans of cleaning and crafting.  So far no go on any of it.  I have a horrible headache.  I took a short nap but it didn't help. 

Bad Day

Ugh.  I just had a horrible day.  Woke up this morning to no heat. AGAIN!  First time the furnace went out it was the igniter, then the thermostat, now the exhaust motor thingy.  Damn real life getting in the way of my crafting.  Then I screwed something up at work and starting crying and swearing like I had tourettes syndrome.  Left work early so the furnace guy could come install the part I needed.  Then laid down to just cry it out and fell asleep.  My daughter woke me up to "Mom, you have to take me to basketball practice"  Um, wouldn't have been nice to know you had practice in the first place.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Valentine mood

Out with Christmas in with Valentine's Day.   Used some Vinyl on the old window my sister-in-law gave me.   Thinking I might head to Hobby Lobby in the morning.

Ewwwww

I hate these pants.  They don't even look good not on a body.   I hate that they are coming back into style.

 

 

Remote

Watch out I received the remote I ordered for my camera.  I'm worse than the paparazzi.

Still to do

Here are some things I found at thrift stores, rummage sales, auctions, and my Mother-In-Laws junkroom. As you can see I still have quit a few projects laying in wait.

Spring Fever

I can't wait to share my new projects on here. It's cold and hard to paint here in ND in the winter so I have spring fever. I can't wait to hit rummage sales next summer and work on more projects. I thought I would share some old projects and thrift store finds with you. Recently my computer crashed and I lost a lot of pictures so sorry for the quality of some of these. They are from my crappy cell phone.

Thunder Mountain Rockfest Twofer

I think everyone should own one.

I think everyone should own a Keurig coffee machine. I am in love with them. We had a smaller one. Santa brought us the Platinum edition for Christmas. Also, we ordered some trial sizes of different types of coffee. And a picture of my two new favorite flavors of coffee. Mmmmmmmmmmm
